| From Pastor Barry | | | | Hello! I welcome you to Bethany Church, and invite you to check out our exciting and scenic house of worship here in the Laurel Mountains. Bethany Church has been here for over 110 years. It has been a joy and my privilege to serve such an active, exciting community of folks, who are growing in their faith in Jesus Christ. We strive to provide a place where everyone who enters God’s House can fine tune their calling, purpose and direction. | | | | I have been blessed for 32 years with a wonderful wife, Kim and we have two married children, son Rob (30) and his wife Bethany (Seifert), and Melissa (29) and her husband, Jeremy Mostoller. I have been the pastor of Bethany Church since 1995. I graduated from The Methodist Theological School’s Ohio Valley Course of Study Program in 2002 and am currently working on my degree from Geneva College in Human Resources. | | | | I am a military brat, raised in the Air Force while my father served our country for over 20 years. I was born in Texas and have traveled around the world several times with my family as a child and again later as I served in the Air Force, Air National Guard and the Army National Guard for 16 years. My father was originally from the Bakersville area and he retired here from the Air Force. I have found that this area is a wonderful place to live and raise your children. There is much to offer you here, from nearby state parks to the ski resorts, to the city life of Johnstown and Greensburg. It truly is a blessing to live in such an area of great beauty and opportunities.
